heyy there im trying to get my hands on a ruger 10/22 rifle. ive been looking around. and maybe i havent been looking hard enough. i can find the 10/22 target in laminate and wood grain with either a stainless barrel or a black finish. and im looking for one is synthetic and with a stainless barrel. i found one on a site and it has a built in suppressor or some sort. if anyone out there knows where i can get my hands on one please message me or post on this thread. i cant even be sure if they make them. let me know if you would.

could be but i can only find in in wood grain finishes. i could buy the butler creek stock and barrel kit and build one. or i thought of just buying the stainless laminate one and painting it. not to sure on the idea of painting. ive heard its hit or miss. and if you miss you really miss.

All I can say is I love my Target Stainless 10/22, so does my wife. None of my other rifles are easy as this one to shoot at 50 meters and it will eat just about any ammo and spit in into a ragged 1 inch hole with a butler creek 25rds magazine.

ive heard good things about those rifles. you have it in the black or brown laminate?

Light brown laminate. This one seems to have a lighter brown then most models i've seen in person and online for some reason. I like it alot.

you can slam a 25 round mag into the target to correct?

....Correct

All 10/22's (and SR22's) will take a 25 round mag

10/22 "target" rifles ONLY come with laminate stocks.
If you've found one with a black synthetic stock it's an aftermarket add on.

I picked up a new one in stainless /laminate stock from Ellwood Epps for my wife to shoot when she comes to the range for our weekly fun shoot. It failed to eject twice in the first 100 rounds so I fitted an `exact edge`extractor from Brownells and also a Volquartsen stabilisation module which supposedly improves accuracy by stabilising the bullet. I was also given a trigger group that had the Volquartsen hammer fitted and a bit of polishing work done, resulting in a trigger weight of 1.5 lbs as opposed to the so called `target trigger`fitted by the factory which has a pull in the region of 4 lbs. The scope is a Simmons Whitetail 6.5-20x. We went to the range yesterday and a total of 200 rounds were fired with no FTEs and the best group of ten shots at 100 yards (shot by my wife) was slightly over one inch.!! She was shooting Federal 510C ammo and the barrel is the factory fitment, conditions were perfect with no wind.. I am very pleased with the performance of this rifle and needless to say, my wife is delighted.
