PARA problem FIXED ( UPDATE 19th MAY !!! )

TACTICAL111 it will take 8-12 weeks alone to get the gun to the US and the 12-24 weeks for export permit to be issued back...

3 weeks ... Hahahha do what I did and forget about it... It took 5 months for PARA to approve a new pistol ... Now I have to wait god only knows how long for that New pistol...

Its PARA fault not Dan's remember that .....

A gun in Canad unfortunately takes closer to 4-6 months.

I've had a few repairs that took 1-2 weeks with communication along the way.

If 4-6 months is the case, it's gone. Plain & simple.

I'll take a hit if I have to but I certainly will never deal with Para again.

And that's a fu**in promise

We'll see what the week brings

I'm obviously missing something. I was under the impression that North Silva actually handled the factory repairs for Para, so the pistol didn't have to be sent to the US.

What the hell am I missing here?

The Parts come from the states and sice the P.O.S is tan in coulour they dont stock them...

But I dont get why Gravel is mentioned...

Well North Sylva came thru for me... I got rid Of the PARA Special retard edition... it needed a new frame and Para approved a credit...

Got myself a GI .45 Stainless on the way instead thanks to Dan... Cost me an extra 40$...

Well im glad this crap is behind me now, I dont think I can have 2 lemons in a row... lol...

Don't bet on it :nest:

I love the Stainless, I also ordered some new Hogue finger groove grips. The p14.45 wont fit... Time to throw them on the EE I guess...

I have been through 2 para 16-40s and 2 para GIs and no real problems at all. I have only had 2 problems with my comp para. One, slide was slapping turned out it doesnt like short 40s, load long OAL, problem fixed. Two, failure to eject, swap out power extractor, problem fixed. That's it, I like para, but I havent had any problems. To each their own. Hope you get it sorted...

Interesting how you seem to get mixed reviews on Paras. I've had a ton of guys mock my little SSP. I bought it used a few years back, it's a bit beat up but I've never had a spot of trouble with it that wasn't ammo or magazine related.

Same with me. Bought a Para Expert GI. Shot at least 3000 rounds + some matches and it never missed a beat. The finish isn't very durable but the slide is fitted tightly in place. For the price I paid, I can't complaint.

dilligaf. Glad ur troubles are behind you. Para is hit and miss, fortunately i got the hit, unfortunately u got the miss. Hopefully ur stainless is a hit.

Well to keep my other thread clean of #####ing I will ##### about my New GI Stainless here... lol...

All I can find wrong with it so far is the cheap lookking engraving on the slide, The serial # is crooked ,the frame is nicked and 3 of the 5 mags wont drop. Why Para dosent seem to give a floating phuck about Q/C is beyond me... Do you guys find this acceptable... Or am I too picky ?
