So, my Daughter wrote me a Poem at school today.

When I go hunting......

When I go hunting I have much fun,
I like to polish, then shoot my gun,
When I go hunting I walk through the snow,
Then I sneak up on a great big doe,
When I go hunting I'm with my Dad,
He teaches me good from bad,
When I go hunting and need to pee,
I go to the outhouse and it scares me,
When I go hunting I am always happy,
I like to hang with my good 'ol Pappy.

The school board in Northern Ontario looks at hunting way different than they do in most big cities of Canada.

Good for you Telesquirt for taking youre kids hunting. It will be the most memorable of good times for them.:)

That's nice to hear. If it were a school in Ottawa they'd call in the SWAT team.:eek:
 
You sir are very blessed. A poem like that is evidence that you are getting top marks as a dad. Any father would love to get a poem from their kid saying how much they like spending time with them. Hats off to you!

Same in Northern Quebec. It is perfectly acceptable to miss school because you were out hunting with your family. In fact one subject in school is dedicated to teaching hunting and outdoor skills.
