Does anyone know if they are restricted or non restricted? Anyone know who has them in stock ready to ship (prefer western Canada). Thanks Brad

They're non restricted and I believe FrontierFirearms have them.

Edit: Cabelas has them.

Nvm backorder.

How come it has to be in Western Canada?

These are a hot commodity, been looking for one for a while and no one ever seems to have them in stock. I finally just said the heck with it and ordered one from LANZ shooting supply. (and they are cheaper then every place else I looked)

Now I am just waiting for it to come in!! (also ordered 2 25 round mags for it) :sniper::sniper:

From what i have read is that the mossberg and the sr22 as well as the remington vtr look like ar's sort of but the s&w m&p 15/22 is (according to the rcmp) a variant of the ar15

The S&W is newly made restircted due to the interchangeable 25 rnd magazine that can be used in a S&W pistol. Pistol is only allowed to have 10 rds in canada. Stupid for the rifle owners to suffer. But S&W kinda shot themselves in the foot (pun intended) by addvertising the 2 guns together and that the magazines were interchangeable. Hope that helps.

This is NOT why the SW is restricted. It was restricted as an ar variant by some douche in the RCMP test place. The 25 round magazines are now prohibited because they are interchangeable with the pistol version, this decision was made after the gun itself was already classed restricted.

Thanks for the correction. That does suck though because who knows where that will end.
