Update... I picked up a mint Kimber 8400 Montana in .270 off the EE and I love it. Haven't had a chance to try any variety of ammo or hand loads yet, but first range trip I used the "cheap" blue box Federals just to get it on the paper and it will put 3 into an inch so it looks like the gun should be a solid performer once I put a little more time into it. Sure, the 8400M is not super light like the SA, but I really wanted a .270 and I am very pleased with the fit/finish etc. on the Kimber.
Now I'm looking for a Kimber 84 Montana in .204 and am seriously considering a Cooper M54 in .220 Swift, 22-250AI or 22-250. These darn quality rifles are addictive.
