Just wondering if the new Norinco M305 have headspace problems like they did about 6 or so years ago?
I got one back then and had to put a USA made bolt in it and that cured the problem.

My 2007 cost me 440 shipped with 40 round count on her. My 2009 cost me 489 new plus 20 shipping and insurance. Well worth the pice and I will never not own a Norc m14. great plinker adn hunting caliber all in one.

I have a 2009 and it did NOT have a headspace issue, relative to NATO specs. In accordance with SAAMI for 308, it is just above the SAAMI No Go. Never had an issue and I have bagfuls of brass. Knew that the casings would stretch a little and through fine measurements, I resize casing to within .005" (I use a spacer). I have shot some of that brass now going on 4 times.

Now I just got rid of a Remy 7600 - in 243 (1 new and then replaced by Gravel). Both of those rifles had headspace issues. The second shot casings would show near split from stretching at the head.

The Norc...nope not an issue. I did however, get a new bolt to tighten things up a bit in terms of groupings. I am going to lap it in on the weekend and pop off a few shots.
