I am trying to help identify this SxS. Has stock and action only. No barrels :(.

You have yourself the back end of a low cost Belgian shotgun of the generic type exported in large numbers between 1890 and 1914.

Yep, as above. A lot of guns from that era were made in carrige and blacksmith shops --- some were excellent and some were crude and this one appears to be the latter.

That is a great example of a 12 ga model "JABC"......Just Another Belgian Clunker

God how I hate that term.... Yes they made some "clunkers" but they also made some excellent Shotguns. I would put the one posted a little above norinco as far as quality goes. :)

Thank you gentlemen for the information. I was hopping to find the priceless, matching barells . Is $50 too much to ask? I think I will see if I can use it to improve my trader rating on the EE :slap:.

I can't disagree with you...and you are right about them not all being clunkers. I have seen some real beutiful Belgian guns. But, I own a W.Richards and it is a POS!
