Am I seriously the only person who uses pliers? If you don't want to mar the bullet dip a set of pliers in Plasti Dip or equivelent(available at home hardware for a brutal price..). Cost you less than that puller and lasts a lifetime.
I spoke with RCBS at the Shot Show and they told me that their Kinetic Bullet Pullers are guaranteed for life. They will always replace them or the parts for free.

probably not, but given the RCBS puller is warrantied for life, and takes a whole lot less care and thought than using pliers and not damaging anything, I don't see any reason why someone wouldn't pay the $15-20 to have a tool that will be replaced if broken, forever.
To answer the OP's question - about 10 seconds if it is struck too hard against a solid object.
