Csa compacts pics!!!!!

I'm still enjoying my 7.62mm Carbine. I dunno, I'm still on the fence about the Compacts. They still look a little disproportional to me. I wish the .223 mags weren't so goofy looking as well. But then again, I can't see buying a Compact in .223 anyway with a safe full of equally restricted ARs. If I want to burn through expensive .223 ammo, I'll stick with those.

I'll probably add a 7.62 Compact to the collection eventually, as I have a non-restricted CZ-858, and the CSA Carbine in 7.62, but will wait to see how they work for you guys first. :) Thanks for being my beta testers! I'm sure you're going to have tons of fun doing it! :)

The compact in 7.62 looks nice. Should be a fun range toy. The very short piston may cause reliability issues but hopefully CSA has a cunning plan to alleviate any problems. The inability to use current fore grip accessories kinda sucks! NEA should have a scout mount so that may be a solution for red dot optics.

I am sure they will work just fine, there must be a lot of tweaking and testing done before they hit the market

I hate this website. I was all set to get a shiny csa carbine to match my nr cz858... I justified it because it's shorter and cool... I won't mod it much (so I tell myself) and can give my nr one a makeover... then I see this thread and I'm going to be out another grand. Ahh! :/

well if ya consider 75round drum or 100-200 drums regular then sure.

I do... The mags most of us play with are reduced in capacity from their initial design... We need to stop calling 'regular capacity' mags "high capacity" mags because it only plays into the hands of antis... And yes, I've been guilty of this exact offense, but I now use the appropriate language so as to not play into the antis hands...

Cheers
Jay

Oh, ok. sure lets get some "regular" mags then and we are good to go

I can't wait until they arrive here. I may keep one for myself but I kind of like the idea of the 11.8"' ones we have arriving soon. I can't wait to give them a run thru at the range.

That compact is going to have very bad ballistics that barrel is way to short for the 7.62x39 round i guessing there will be bullet stabilization keyholeing issues too(like the Draco AK pistol in the US) and i dont like the idea of a modified gas system ether .. its seems like a $900 novelty gun too me.. but i do like the CSA carbines the 11.5 barrel length is as short as i will go for a rifle, any shorter and a pistol round will perform better..
