Problems with Dlask Lower

Hi everyone,I bought a stripped anniversary lower reviver from Dlask and I'm having nothing but problems. First the mag well is really tight, none of my pmags or norinco mags will go in without quite a bit of force. Even with the mag catch not in you still have to force it in and out.
Second the front pivot pin is so tight it will not go in at all. I sanded the finish off my rock river arms front pin to just make it though and you have to tap it in with something.
Third with my complete upper on the lower you cannot pivot the upper on the lower without it rubbing/scratching the lower in between the two "ears" for the front pivot pin. While pivoting the upper you can feel it gets really tight once your about 3/4 of the way up.
Fourth the trigger sits on an angle when you look down into the lower. The back part is almost rubbing on the right side of the reviver and the front is almost rubbing on the left side. It almost looks like the holes for the trigger pin are not center with each other, if you know what I mean.

Sorry for the long post but I'm pretty mad. Spending that much money on a stripped lower when other than the finish, my norinco lower is better in every way(fit, function, stripping it and assembling it). After days of calling them with no answer, I finally got a hold of someone. I'm sending it back and hopefully getting a new one.

Well... If I had to choose between too tight and too loose, I'd go tight :)

I don't think DLASK does annodizing "in-house" so it's possible that one lower perhaps got a funky job. Worst case scenario, it's aluminium so you would blast it and re-annodize and that should solve 4 of your 5 problems. I'm sure Dlask could resolve the issue if it is that serious. Keep in mind tight for a range gun is definitely more desirable.

The trigger thing... post a pic please.

I also have a Dlask anniversary lower with a Dlask upper and have not experienced any of the problems you're reporting.
Must be a "bad" lower....Josef will make things right.

That's a hell of a first post.

Joe doesn't post here and you should really talk to him first through the same means you purchased that lower.

Joseph has a good reputation around here and he deserves to be informed of the issue before you give a different impression by posting your anger on the web to those who have not yet had the pleasure to deal with him.

Since you like your Norinco so much, maybe you should just buy another one and save the grief. Some people have the patience to build guns, others should stick to buying complete guns off the shelf. Which one are you?

I don't see this thread ending well.

Once in a while, handgun frames and AR lowers from Dlask come with machining done by baboons! My Dlask lower has been great but I know of two cases where the mag well was too tight for most mags and one case that the holes for the pins were "crooked", perhaps this is what you describe for the trigger. My advice: return it to Dlask and get a different one but ask Josef to try it first that mags fit and pin are going in straight and without the use of a hammer!

Have a Dlask receivers. Good quality; however, from whay i understand the finish sometimes makes the pin holes a little tight. Had excellent customer service previously on one with an alignment issue. E-mail josef first!

WTF? Why? He joined CGN and posted his issues and is no doubt looking for feedback. I.E If others had similar issues and how to deal with DLASK etc. He doesn't need to contact the vendor first to do that and if you had actually read his post you would see he had already contacted DLASK...

Wrong, he has every right to post his anger here first.

I'm pro DLASK but he had a terrible reputation for inconsistent QA on his AR's over the years. Great ones were great, but way to many lemons in the mix. Thought he cleaned up the QA issues over the last couple years, hopefully this is a one off. But we wouldn't know this unless people like Danv posted his issues and others commented now would we.;)

Right...Like it's rocket science to build an AR reserved for the exclusive few. Not a single issue he listed has anything to do with a lack of patience. He did have the patience to take the time to join CGN, post a thread and describe in detail his issues, that's all the patience he needs IMHO. And he has more patience then me to not respond to s**t pumps that have nothing better to do then pray on newbies and tell them they don't have what it takes to build up an AR15.

I don't see this thread ending well.

You're right you probably scared away another newbie, way to build the community...:slap:

If you read my post I did concoct him first. Don't get me wrong I'm not bashing him, he was really nice on the phone and said he will make it right. Lets see how it turns out. Also I never said I like norinco's, I was just comparing it to another Lower. I have patience to build guns, but when I spent $300 plus on a lower I was not planning on having to remove material to have the gun function properly... Also I've posted a couple times in the newbie threads but I guess those posts don't count?

Well I think literally beating the mag in and out and having to use a punch and hammer to get your upper off your lower is to tight. But hey man if that's the way you like it, it's just to tight for my liking lol. Especially on a $300 lower. I just shipped it back before I seen your post or else I would of posted a pic, sorry.

OK then. What IS your reason for this thread? It seems you have figured out your lower is a lemon and that you should return it.

To me it appears you posted in anger to defame Dlask because you could not reach them over the phone. Apparently after you DID reach them and were told to return it.

S**t happens and I believe you should be talking to Dlask before posting a thread that can jeopardize their bread and butter before they even know there's a problem. Never mind having a chance to correct your problem.

There doesn't appear to be an attack which would lead to someone losing their shirt here. Boltgun

Thank you sir, I think you hit the nail on the head.

Unfortunately threads like this always bring out those who have nothing nice to say about Dlask for their own crappy and sometimes unjust reasons. It's crap that we've all heard before where members who have had great dealings with Joseph no longer have a desire to rehash or wish to beat a dead horse.

Since Joseph doesn't post on CGN, isn't here to stick up for himself and you've returned the lower for a replacement, this thread is of zero use to anyone and I think it should be locked and done with.

The smart way to get good customer service nowadays is to flame the guy on the Internet before you go back to the store.
Joe bobbed a 1911 hammer for me and refused to accept money for such a small thing.

OK then. What IS your reason for this thread? It seems you have figured out your lower is a lemon and that you should return it. What is it exactly that you hoped to accomplish by posting this. Especially as your very first thread on CGN.

Perhaps you should have introduced yourself in the Greeting and Introduction forum instead of jumping into complaint mode in anger.

If the magazines don't fit, the pivot pin cannot be inserted and the trigger group sits crooked in the lower, you couldn't possibly be asking for advice on fixing it.

If you click on my name do a search "Find all posts by danv" you would see I already have introduced myself...
This thread was to see if anyone else had similar problems and how they were resolved since I have not dealt with them before. From this thread people said they have good customer service so that is re insuring. So this thread was useful for both of us, obviously you like trolling newbie threads. I hope this thread made your day...

I was never at the store, where did you read that? I just paid $42 to ship it back to them. Like I already said I am not bashing this dealer, I'll update this thread how this gets resolved.

Hey, you're the guy with 3 posts.

A little aggressive on your posting Easy, back off a bit. I understand where you are coming from, however, I also understand Danv. No need to call a guy out to the level you have. Boltgun
