hey,

i am looking at buying a 3200 remington for shooting trap sporting clays, etc. i fired the exact gun and love it, hit 24 /25 with it consistently. no complaints, hoe ever like most of them , the fore stock is cracked, and taped, so it is still there but its cracked, gun is in 95 % condition other then that.

what is this worth?

any help or advice on the gun is appreciated

cheers
Brenden

They are a good gun, many had forend problems, but usually it fits so good that hitting with them seems easy. They haven't made them in many years, but there is all kinds of wood for them in the USA, std. models go for $1000 or more, but subtract $200 for the bad forend...I'd still do it if I were you....it's still one of the most "hittable" guns you'll shoulder.....IMHO

Good call Ben very good gun for the money if the rest of the gun is 95% then $1000 is about wright. I used one for doubles for many yrs. and had great success with it. I would also shoot it for singles occasionally just to give my radar gun a rest . The Famous Model 12

Agree with Ben on the price range.

Wouldn't worry to much about the forend crack. Had one with same problem and sent it off to the gunsmith. He relieved some wood around the ejectors and repaired the wood split and it came back good as new.

You can put a lot of mileage on those guns and I'm just a litttle partial to them.

My father hated the danged things, said they handled like a 2X4!!:D
I did shoot one myself a few years back, and liked it, and just bought a 3200 skeet from Long Bow
( paid under $1,000) now that I can again shoot a 12 bore!:)

I still have one and like it allot. The forend cracking or splitting didn't seem to effect every 3200 but there were enough that did that Remington recalled them and had them repaired. The corrected guns were returned no charge, and a dot (.) was stamped between the OU and the serial number to indicate that the gun was repaired. Another way to tell if the repair had been done, were two allan screws that were installed at the bottom of the receiver. That recall isn't available any more through Remington, but Liab's in the States still do.
I like the gun allot, and when you find one with the recon done they can bring as much as $1500.

X2 Cat, I had one . Kicked me like a mad old Lady. Worked well though sold it and the new owner had trigger problems. And they are not cheap to fix.
