I bought a Winchester 190. Wow am I pleased. I can barely find any information on it except they made a couple million of them.
It's a semi-auto that will cycle S,L,LR. in no particular order. That is right. The other day I took a fistful of mixed up 22's(S,LR,sub-sonic's remington and CCI) stuffed the tube randomly. No problems. Yup cycles the sub's. Best money I have spent in a long time. Best part, no ### banana clip to get in the way. Oh yeah it holds 24 shorts. Too much fun.

I own two of them! they are fun! Wish it had bolt hold open. I wanna get the upgraded 290 the deluxe version. Only dislike is the loose foregrip. I've heard problems of the barrel nut getting loose aswell. Does yours have any of these issues?

Everything is tight and solid on this 190. I dont think she has seen many rounds. I had a few jams the first day out. Where I had to fish out a bullet. It had gotten hung up sideways. But I was using some old ammo the guy threw in with her, that I am guessing was 40 years old. After a light oiling and a 555 Winchester family brick of 22lr. It is preforming flawlessly. It is exactly what I wanted in a bushwhacking 22. Sling mounts, no mag, short-ish, you can throw optics on it, and it's. cheap. I can't believe there isn't any mention of these guns here. Do your pair shoot shorts?

Happy 190 owner here. Accurate (3/4 inch at 25 meters with iron sights) and reliable (no FTF/FTE in hundreds of rounds without cleaning), what more can one ask of a .22 rifle. Have not bothered to try ammo other than .22LR.

Me too. Very happy with mine. Never tried shorts in mine. On the barrel it is specified long and lr only. Yes, Winchester sub cycles great in it. It's my favorite ammo. Here she is.

Thank's easyrider604. When i found it the description was saying it was in good+ condition. Once i cleaned it up it showed up like this. When you buy on internet you have to take some chances and i got lucky. Everything is tight and works flawlessly for now. The only semis i owned were a TOZ-99 and a savage. So that Winny is by far my favorite and it got all i want, except for a last shot hold open but i don't feel it's necessary. So squirrels, beware.

It does.
With the bolt open push the knob on the right hand side of the bolt in. And let the bolt slide partially back towards the barrel.
