Thank you, I was aware of the tennifer, I was referring to the tan arma-coat.

I ran some corrosive through my 858 today. I decided I am NOT cleaning it tonight because I am going to shoot it again tomorrow...

Resistant to corrosion... We will see... he he he

I ]left mine for three weeks after shooting 400 rounds of corrosive ammo...the tennifered parts were fine.

The only part that showed any corrosion was the gas piston...well, also the piston spring.

That is one job RT did very well. It's too bad that's over.

I took my 858 apart & ran hot water over all the parts in the bath tub. Used an old tooth brush to scrub spots & followed the bath up with a good oiling...

We'll see how she holds up over time...

Thanks and yes its the new version BC Tactical. They fit very tight, line up great and sit higher. As they sits higher I can use a lower riser to match height with the NEA Cantilever Scope Mount for my iron sights. They are also finished black and match the tenifer finish very well. AFG does make the rifle sit nicely in your hands.

Since I have a set of NEA rails I'll build another, perhaps a CSA or other shorter barreled version.

I love the coatings on mine...too bad I can't mount a grip to it to try it out........there is nowhere to screw it into anymore....taking it to a gunsmith tomorrow to get it repaired or get new parts......flying the ointment I guess, but not worth sending it back after tha last wait.
