The threading of the receiver holes of Ruger 10/22 was ripped.

Here is my stupid mistakes in short. After shooting a few hundreds of rounds, the scope based of my Ruder 10/22 become loose. So decided to tighten the crews. The first mistake is that I used a wrong size of screwdriver. The second mistake is that I was kind of "dumb". As a result, the threading of the receiver holes was ripped.

I have been crying on the floor for 24hours and 7 minutes.

How can I remedy this?

take it to a gunsmith and they will tap the holes bigger and install bigger screws.

X2 step to to a #8-32 and youre good to go. 9/64" or #29 drill bit, taps and hardware available at most hardware stores
