Round count will be roughly
Rifle: 100
Shotgun: 50 Buck Shot/ Bird Shot
10 Slug
Pistol: 120
(These are of course minimums, as the COF's have not been decided yet)

We will classify people for the pistol stages into Production, Standard and open.

This will be a day when you put your pistol on in the morning and not take it off till the end. So with that make sure that your holster will retain your pistol with no problems.

All rifle and shotgun stages are run what you have.

No other restrictions on equipment or ammo. General usage is 55gr .223 and #7 to #4 12 gauge ammo

Anything from a drop leg holster to armor carriers to chest rigs to plain belt rigs with shells in the pockets are good to go.

There are no "club guns" available, however if you bring .223, 9mm, 40cal and 12 gauge someone will let you use there rifle, pistol and shotgun.

Dammit Jarrit, I need more time in advance to plan for these things :)

What will I have to lop off for a day away from the family this time!?!?!?

Upcoming WRAS matches

For those that need a little more warning of upcoming WRAS 3-gun matches, they are posted on the Spruce Grove Gun Club website.

Look under the Events tab, and download the Agenda .pdf.

Hope that helps - see you there !

Looks like I may be out for the rest of summer here, doctor confirmed, torn muscle in left arm.

Have a great event guys.

All that means is more T4's mixed with a tensor bandage and then after the match a bottle of whiskey to numb the pain and the brain till the next morning..

Okay, I know I said it last time, but I'm there for sure.

If I bring a friend without a holster, will that be an issue?

It shouldn't be, he/ she can start from the low ready but that will have to be confirmed.. are they going to be shooting your pistol? If so PM me with make and I will see about rounding up a holster..

I'm seriously considering joining my buddy and giving it a try this weekend.

Should I use my Mini14 target, or borrow my buddy's R-15? I have my own pistol and shotgun.

Either one would work, but the R-15 would be a better choice. The more the merrier.

It was fun. The targets were kept dry with clear plastic bags.

We didn't run a real match though, the rain came down pretty hard all day so we basically practiced from inside the quonset mostly. Transitions and stuff, no checking or taping targets.

Here's a "stage" we had some fun with.

To all that came out, thanks. Not the greatest of weather but what the hell..... We set out some tgts did a bit of fun shooting lots of trading ideas and such.

The next march will be on Sat 9 July. Hope everybody can make it out for that.
