So was going to Tapco my Rugger 10/22 target and pimp it out but as I was about to place the order I discovered the Mossberg 702 Tactical. So which way should I go. Anyone know anything about the Mossberg? Can you get 25 round magazines for it? What are the odds of the RCMP pulling a S&W MP15 on it. Make up my mind.

Get the 10/22. In terms of accesories, its the AR-15 of rimfire rifles.
10/22 all the way.
I handled the Mossberg at a gun shop and was NOT impressed at all. I was supposed to pick on up as a Christmas gift for a friend but threw that idea right out the window the second I touched it.
I'd far rather have a bone stock 10/22 that that...that....that... thing.
And like what was mentioned before. It's the AR-15 of rimfires.

The Mossberg Tactical .22 isnt the worst .22 out there, but when you have the choice to get a 10/22, get the 10/22.
If you want a pre made tactical 10/22, just get the SR-22.

Having owned 3 ruger 10/ 22's over the years..I would buy a mossberg just for something different. Its allready "tricked out" what else could you add ? By the time you buy the Ruger and TRICK it out..you'll of spent more money...no ? I've read the reviews on the mossberg and they sound good. Its not a huge investment, and if you dont want to keep it...I'll buy it.

Just to clarify. I already have the 10/22 in the safe. The debate is do I spend money to make it more ARish as I'm getting a little bored of it in its current config. Or for the same money as a Tapco stock and a few widgets I could get the Mossberg and have yet another gun in the safe.
well i havent tried other 22's but so far i am liking my Mossberg, you can add a few accessories to it also, here are a couple pics.. right now im using the grip/bipod and a red dot sight that is not on picture... flashlight was novelty hehe
Well it appears that the opinion is split 50/50 and after giving it much thought I did what any respectable gunnut would do and got the Mossberg 702
