Ljungman refuses to cooperate !

The big swede Ljungman is a fine rifle. Only had one for a year now but I dont want to part with it for a long time.
Thus far only had my thumb hit by the hammer as I releasing it from the cocked possition to clean at the insides.

I seem to recall if you have the safety On, it won't release the bolt from the carrier. flip the safety over and try it.

Absolutely correct and, an important feature to keep digits where they belong! I'm not bragging when I suggest I don't always utilize a safety on my guns. On the Ljungman/Hakim it is mandatory. Always.

Even when it holds open on empty, flick the safety and, pull the bolt back (1/8 inch). You'll hear it click. I've not "experimented" but, am pretty sure attempting to load it without "locking the bolt" could be a finger catcher...The "hold open" goes into it's recess and the bolt...(picture old batman POW here)
...with authority.
