It is one of the 5 guns I own.
It is by far the most accurate and definitely my favorite of them all.
I got mine from Marstar for relatively cheap.
You get a mint condition, very accurate, incredibley sturdy surplus rifle with the best bolt action ever designed.
They were all made to be shipped to Iran and Algeria and they are not as common as other Mausers.
They could even be worth something one day.
My opinion is you can not go wrong with an M48bo
Mitchells Mausers is a rip off BTW Go with Marstar if you do buy one.

You won't see many "Mitchell Mausers" up in Canada but down in the U.S. you have to watch out.
Long story short, Mitchell took Yugo M48s, for the most part, polished off all the markings and stamped fake Third Reich acceptance marks and "matched" every part claiming these rifles came from some "long lost warehouse in Germany".
I do not know why they are still in business but their website makes me laugh and cry at the same time. Just look at the pictures of the rifles on the website and you can clearly see they have been reblued and the stocks sanded, the bolts in the white, bent down at an angle not typical of Kar98k bolts, and without a recess in the stock. Original history...I'd like to rifle butt some sense into that guy.
You can sometimes pick these rifles off right away as their bolt handle is polished in the white which is incorrect for a Kar98k. They are generally restocked in Kar98k stocks that are sanded of markings as well. Some of them can be fooling though.
To obtain revenge for all those faked rifles, I have a home made target that is basically Mitchell's face that I allow my RC Kar98ks to shoot at.

The yugo m48Bo was my first mauser it came covered in cosmoline it was like the best xmas gift ever,made me feel like a kid all over again.Cleaning all the cosmoline off to see what was underneat,a new sixty year old rifle,just amaseing.I then went on to add aZark scope and mounts ,it turned out beautiful one of my all time favourite milsurp rifles
