looking for scope reccommendations

Hey all I need advise on finding a scope for a new rifle. Its a 45-70 so it must be a well constructed scope. Other features I need are: must be bright for low light situations. Small compact. Its a 45-70 so the shots will be close so I don't need a lot of magnification. Illumination would be nice. I'm thinking 1-4x24 or 2.5x6x32. I want fast target acquisition and a decent eye relief of at least 3" 4-5" being better
I've read a lot of reviews of nightforce and zeiss dangerous game type scopes but haven't looked thru them for myself.

Can anyone recommend a good high quality scope for low light close shots. Thanks
 
On my Ruger 77 44 i bought a S&B Zenith 1.5X6X42 this is an outstanding low light scope the best i own i feel you could hunt at night with the top clarity that scope provide, money wise they are expensive but.... JP.
 
44mm is a lil to big for what I want. I will try to locate a vx3 1.5-5 x 20 tho thanks. Is that scope availible with standard crosshairs or does it has some other crap filling up the field of veiw
 
Weaver K4. Install, zero, forget about the scope for the rest of your life, just practise with it.

If you want something a little more compact, perhaps their Classic V-3 (1-3x20mm.)
