Primer advice for 338 LM

Looking to see what ou guys think I should use for my new 338 Lapua bench rest rig.
I am using Lapua Brass
225 and 250 Gr Hornady's
And thinkng about IMR 7828

Just wondering does one have to use Magnum primers? I do have some Winchester LRM, but I also have some CCI BR LR primers. What do you think?

No experience, but I can't imagine trying to light the fire on the amount of powder that a Lapua uses without a magnum primer.

Mine like the WLRM primers the best have had nice results with CCI also..

I have had had hangfires with CCI LRM primers, and RL25 powder.... I'm in the process of trying other options.

Fed 215 M's seem to work ok.

I use GM215M primers in mine.

My low recoil 'plinking' loads is; 215SGK, 98gr 7828, GM215M primers.

Thanks. Have you ever tried making a really slow reduced load for 338, I have head great success at 308, but am not sure where to start with 338.

No, to be honest the though has never crossed my mind.......

With the cost of projectiles in 338 i really don't see the point of saving a pound of powder here and there......
