Accurate and reliable non restricted semi auto rifle?

Red rifle.... CZ858. Cost is reasonable, ammo is cheap, and you can hunt with em!
The xcr looks very cool, and having shot the Swiss, they are pure awesome, but they are both pretty pricy! I have a JR carbine, and it's a hoot, especially with the ten round mags! But at the end of the day, it's a 9mm and not good for much other than plinking.

XCR, JR Carbine, Kel tec Sub2000, another Kel tec I can't seem to remember, Beneli MR1, Berreta CX4 with a longer barrel, etc. There is a thread stickied somewhere about this.

Just have to say Benelli MR-1 bought one 3 weeks ago and ran over 1300 rounds thru it not a malfunction except one round that did not go bang ( ammo problem ) and accuracy seem to be with everything 2 inchs or less at 100 metres, incredible rifle for the price and one the most fun shooting rifle... JP.

And money wise i think it is a deal under 1700.00 ship to my door plus 2 LAR-15 10 rounds mags and a coupler, cant beat that... JP.

My two picks would be the CZ858 and the Swiss Arms Classic Green/Black Special.

I ran my 858 in a two-day Hackathorn course last month...worked well, although the increased recoil over a 5.56 will slow you down a little bit.

The SIG rifles are one of the greatest fighting rifles ever built, to stupidly high QC standards.

On a budget, go 858. If you have money, go SIG.

I would skip the XCR for a lot of reasons, and the SL8 is an accurate but bulky, heavy gun best suited to precision fire, so that would heavily influence my decision on that machine.

M14s are fun and I built a fair number and played with them a lot, but they are expensive to feed and all the optics mounting solutions are kind of annoying IMO. If you want a .308 with irons, they are a good choice.

If money is no problem I would go with a swiss arms and then get a new lower for AR-15 magazines.

Since you made a reference to MR308, I am going to assuming you are looking for something chambered in .308, in that category Kel-Tec RFB, FN FNAR Springfiled M1A or a Norico M14S are your non-restricted choices.

Number one for me is my M14 and number two is my Rob Arms XCR, nuber three is my JR Carbine and tied for third is the Beretta Storm I just love the ergonomics. All of mine are original except for teh PROMAG stock on my M14.
