Thursday evening 5 shot groups at 900m
In the F/TR class will the 223 Rem come close to the .308win ? for the smallest group ?

In the F/O

Will the 260 Rem or AI beat out the big 7mm 180grs 190 gr or will they shine.

Or will the big 30 cal mag outshine them all

i am betting on a 308 shooting a 185 grain bullet from a gentlemen shooting out of pigeon hill...and a 6.5 of some kind shot by some one new to the sport in the fo

having shot all three cals 6.5, 7 and 30 at LR, I give the best odds of success to the 7mm for smallest group. As to score, we will know after the match.

I am very curious to hear on your 90/223 results. I will be slinging them next weekend at Homestead so we should compare notes.

My testing at 1000yds has been very promising BUT a 3 day match is a very different animal.

Enjoy...

In the FO class the 260 could shine from what I have seen lately by a friend of mine's gun but I could be wrong the 7mm's high bc might also do well along with the 30 but I will say 6.5.

Well Greg never shot a group at 900m going to give it a try Wed evening at Connaught if winds are not crazzy, I think I would be very pleased if I could get around 12" but I might be dreaming a little.
Spoke with a fellow in USA today shooting a Super Deuce using 80gr Bergers
at 3445 fps he shot a 2" 5 shot group at 1000 last Sunday ??? sure must have had super conditions and maybe never do it again

It's too bad I won't be able to do the group shooting Thurs. This 6.5x55 with a new McGowen barrel just put 5 rds into a single hole @ 100meters.
Will be there the rest of the weekend for Eastern in F/O.

i was right on my predictions about the best groups at 900 mm the only thing was it was not won by a gentlemen from pigeon hill rather a gentlemen from the maritimes shooting a 185 berger in a 308 win.and it was a 6.5 of some kind a 6.5x55 ackley.good shooting guys

I'd love to hear more about the group shoot if anybody would care to elaborate. What were conditions like that evening? How big was the winning group, and more importantly how big were the groups that most people were shooting?

Conditions were relatively calm, in terms of wind, but was a decidedly damp during part of the shoot. My sighters, and first record shot were fired in steady rain, and then it stopped. The wind stayed slight and constant.
