Benelli mr-1... Wow.

The 13 7/8" lop pads weren't an option 4 years ago when I got my SBEII, but they appear to be now. I already had the extra pad from my shotgun. That's why I modified it rather than buy the new thin one. They're likey $100 for the replacement pad. Unless they've changed the stock dimensions on the other comfortech guns I'd say it would fit. It was tight and took some force to get in on, but once on it has stayed. I know a "Stoeger" sales rep who lives locally and he was the one that told me it should fit.

I need to obtain one of these 13 7/8" comfortech stocks...you guys know who carries them?

On a second note, any of you guys know what size screws attach the rear sight?

I only know they are 2x t15 torx screws, need the thread and length.

Is there a hex screw equivalent?

The one I got coming has the rear sight removed, and the screws are missing...torx screws are rare and a pain in the ass imo, most of my local fastener shops don't even carry a good selection of torx screws evidently.

The other thing I really want to try, is to see if it can be threaded for a flash hider/brake yet still allow the dissassembly nut to come off...I think it would look much better if possible...

Whether you like or dislike the mr1 looks....I'm still so/so on the looks...but it functionally fits my requirements and I like having things that are somewhat "different"...that being said.

I still say that adjustable stock is god awful hideous.

The screws that hold the rear sight and rail on are T15 driver and i'm pretty sure they are standard M4 screws (I haven't checked the pitch). The retainer nut will fit over a standard "birdcage" type flash hider without issue. I'm in the process of building a picatinny rail that will replace the existing rail and rear sight that will allow me to mount optics lower to the gun and closer to the user. I find mounting optics to clear the rear sight is WAY too high to be comfortable. If there is interest I will make a some extra rails!
 
Bah, neither stoeger canada nor benelli USA can tell me what size screws are to mount the rear sight assembly.

Someone want to do me a huge favor, if you have taken out your rear sight, measure the thread length and twist etc???

Screw is a M4 x 0.7 - 6mm Long.

If you give me enough beer I can move the world! :cheers:
 
went wolverine supply today with money to burn. felt out the mini 14,xcr,sl8,mr1,swiss arms. Came home with the mr1 mounted a bushnel tr 25 reddot and the irons are still usable. love love the ergos on this rifle ill get used to the looks im sure

Wait you shot it you will feel for the peoples that paid 1000.00 more for another brand, they are all good but some cost less... JP.
 
You guys notice the gas erosion occuring on the gas splitter at the front of the piston?

Its a noticeable wear after a few hundred rounds...wonder if this is a future wear part that will need replacing.

Did find a guy online who brought this to the attention of an engineer who claimed the part would in fact outlive the life of the rifle.

Still interesting to note erosion of this sort.
 
Nope check mine and except a little darkening it is like new 3500 shoots and it look like it shot 20... Cheers. JP.
