Kel Tec SU-16F is now "NON-RESTRICTED"

i will take one of each in identical configuration.

what are those stock kits and railed fore ends going to be running for?

to make your rifle like that one you will also need a sight kit, and potentially a flash hider on top of the stock kit and fore end. to have that rifle looking ###y is gunna cost some $$$ I bet.

You're post was saying sheet metal = poor quality. I considered this to be wrong.

Shades of grey.

Personally, even with the draft angle and all that, I prefer injection moulding. Bend radii are annoying.

That said, a CNC milled receiver is best. For smaller components, I'd rather it be done via powder metallurgy.

Sorry if I come-off as a bit obtuse at times.

Red Lion forend is $155 for the short and $190 for the long. Prices are on their website.
Stock kit is $130 on the Keltec site, hopefully not too much more in Canada.

This sounds like a business opportunity for our Canadian manufacturers.

I just wanted to let you guys in on a little secret I just found out!! Neato...

I know some of you really liked the redlion foreend.

Well, I found a pretty sweet (AND CHEAPER) option online on calguns.

Yea thats my SU-16. The forearms is just two tri-rail barrel clamps and rail covers.

So, no, it isn't free floated, but this gun is capable of at least 2MOA, which is all I'm expecting of it. So, I'm doing this uber cheap (and awesome) forend setup...

[EDIT]
Where do I find a fake can like that? :p

Red Lion Precision will not ship to Canada. It's not worth it to them, FOR THE MOMENT.
More inquiries could change that.

As far as I can tell, the model we're getting is the pencil barrel with barrel mount sights, not threaded. Basically the SU-16a. The SU-16CA, with heavier barrel, gas block sights and threaded barrel(but 18.5") would be my choosing.
I'll still get this SU-16f, but the minute a canadian version of the su-16ca(with 18.5" barrel) is announced, the previous bought su16f would be on the EE in seconds.

I'd rather see the Hi-Point 4095TS come to Canada with a non-restricted barrel length. It would only be $399. Just as much a looker as the SU-16F.
Except that the su16f is chambered for .223, not a pistol round.

Would they need an export license for these? May be a more complicated issue than just small demand.
Yea, export BS
Hello ...,
Thank you for your order. However, we can not ship to Canada due to ITAR.
I am really sorry that we do not, at this time, have an importer in
Canada to direct you to. We did check with an exporter of firearm
products due to interest from previous customers from Canada, but the
expense of exporting just a few products was several hundred dollars and
therefore not feasible. Thanks again for your interest in our products.
I will be refunding your money thru (FRAUD ALERT) in just a few minutes. If you
have any questions please let us know.
Thanks
...

By the sounds of it, if we had an importer, they would be willing to sell to us. But they don't want to export themselves, due to the cost of going through exporting companies in the US. So, someone like john at marstar, who deals in both countries, might have better luck. Just guessing.

Apples, oranges

Not completely for me doesn't matter if the hi-point one is a Non-restricted for me since hunting with it aint allowed in my area and getting permission to just go plink on someones land isn't happening. If I still lived out west I'd consider either since finding places to plink wasn't an issue.
