So anyways my friend was at our last service rifle match.
20 rounds so far so good, 21 his tasco mag drops out!!
we call a cease fire and he tries to a field assess to see whats wrong.
The pin that holds the mag release broke and disappeared.
So with those parts gone, the range officer gives him the option to single load the rest of the match or count what he has and walk off the range.
He goes with single loading. he gets through 2 rounds then the trigger will not fire... so he walks off the range and we finish the match.
Anyways we pulled it apart today and we foresure need a new pin to fix the mag release. But we pulled apart everything and for the life of us we can't get the trigger to fire. Now half the issues is that he hasn't maintained the sks has well has he should, it does have some minor rust. the trigger will manual fire by playing with the internals, but when we try to use the trigger nothing happens.
Some things to note he has an upgraded stock. and he is using tasco mags.
its a Russian SKS
Any ideas on why the trigger isn't working? and is it an easy repair?
or is it a F*ck it situation? and sell it as a part gun? and if i'm selling it as a part gun whats it worth (with all original parts not the upgraded stock)
