what do you guys think? is there something better in the price range? I'm going to use it for hunting as well as range time

TC Icon Precision Hunter in 308, sooo accurate and the best trigger without being aftermarket and what about the integral weaver bases and a very nice flawless finition... but a bit heavier one pound more but after your first .25 group you will feel very light... JP.

whos a good dealer in canada? Arent those about double in price?

Wantalls is a good dealer Le Baron have them for 950.00 out of the door Epps have one but it is a TC Icon Wheatershield ( certified moa ) very accurate but the Precision hunter is certified sub moa with a supplied test target mine was .4 with Federal cheap 150 gr, My TC Icon Warlord 308 is certified sub half moa, the test target included with the rifle is .172 with TAP 155 gr Hornady but this one is 3000.00 more in the TRG class but if you are on a tight budget i did shoot the 308 TC Venture at the range and it was giving constant .75 groups with 165 gr Superformance Hornady and Jo Brook have them and Epps to around 550.00 they dont supplied a test target but they do guaranty moa performance and it does... JP.

Did not see the third rifle in the pic.

I'd take the Ruger out of that pair. Better quality IMO. I would go with the TC ICON/VENTURE as mention though. An ICON will cost about $1000. I own the basic model ICON and it shoots .5" with Remmington Core Lokts. The venture for 500-650 is still an amazing quality.

remington all the way i shoot with a guy who has that model it is nice. i bought the tactical model myself and am enjoying it very much i just with i didnt have a fixed 24 scope on it so i would feel more comfortable huntinging with it..(its my target gun)

We have to be carefull here Remington is a middle of a big quality control saga i would stay away from them until they put their act thogeter for the mean time there is a lot of shure bet Ruger, Savage, TC, Tikka, Sako why chance it... JP.

That Remington hurts the eyes.

.

But you could use it as an axe in a pinch with that funky barrel...hack through game or fall a small tree :D

The Ruger would be my choice of the two, but if I was right handed I'd take a good look at the TC models, they've caught my interest.
