AR57... I think I jizzed in my pants...

I think it's really cool. The problems are mostly our laws and prices. I have a PS90 and the 5.7 is fun. No recoil. But it's hard to get in Canada and expensive. If we didn't have mag limits of 5 and 5.7 wasn't both expensive and hard to get then this would rock.

By the really like my PS90.

Magazine limitation, and AR15 restriction, 2 reasons I won't buy one.

####ing antis won this one... good job whoever buys one regardless of the BS.

I have one but never fired, I fired with PS90 and I don't like it, it's like 22 lr but very expensive ammo and only 5 round, I prefer shoot with 22 LR uppers and no mag limit.

But like say Starscream if you can take it, it's a very nice upper.

We really need someone to do this in a rimfire calibre (22WMR, or 17- I don't care which) same as the PS90, if it had the features of the ones sold in the US, including the full capacity mags, I'd buy one. A non-restricted PS90 in a rimfire calibre would make a great pest gun, and a great plinker.

Guys: The reason they can pack 50 rounds in a straight magazine is because the widest point of the round is a cylinder.

10/22 mags aren't curved for aesthetics...

A new mag would have to be configured to fit the smaller casing of a .22 or .17, so I'm sure the makers could design it to "single-stack" 50 rim-fire cartridges.

I'm sure it could be done... Good comparison below (wow, even 9mm looks like a beast next to a 5.7)...

The widest part of all rounds is a cylinder, some cylinders are just longer than others. :p

:slap:

I think what you mean to say is, this can't be done with the .17 or .22 rimfire because they have a rim ;)

5.7x28 has a rim... It just doesn't stick out. It also makes it easier to extract, apparently.

.40 S&W would be a good candidate.

Bullet diameter .400 in (10.2 mm)
Neck diameter .423 in (10.7 mm)
Shoulder diameter .423 in (10.7 mm)
Base diameter .424 in (10.8 mm)
Rim diameter .424 in (10.8 mm)

Make it a pump-action and you can have a full mag.
