Longer handguard on 7.5" AR

I am thinking of changing up a few things on my AR. (that is, if I can get the jamming issues fixed)

I would like to add a longer handguard/rail on my 7.5", possibly CAR length so that it runs flush (or almost flush) with the KX3 to resemble the Noveske Diplomat.

Will a free float CAR length quad rail fit? Mid length?

Or will it not work at all?

I suppose I will also have to pick up a low profile gas block.

Do you know what length will fit flush (or near flush) to the base of the KX3 (like the Diplomat) Such a cool look, too much $$ for this guy

Yes, why wouldn't it?

There are several distinct rail lengths. Those are typically 7", 9" and 10". A 7" rail should end up near the tip of the barrel.

The issue you are going to run into with the KX3 and a longer rail is how do you install the rail and the brake. In most cases the rail goes on first so you will have to find a way to torque the brake on properly without having access to the wrench flats.
