Ruger 4.2" Bearcat 22LR Accuracy ???

Normally these kinds of pieces disappear when they pop out fortunately for me they hit my chest and landed on my lap and I cannot believe I found these pieces...

Anyway I recommend that all Bearcat owners get an Allen wrench and make sure this plug is tight I'm even thinking of putting a drop of loc-tite on so I do not have to worry about this issue again and yes the rest of the screws were all tight.

Thanks, CC!!! I checked mine and it was really loose too. It likely would have jumped out soon as well. ;) I loctited it in.
 
Thanks for posting I had looked at that holster before but never looked at the pricing because I was assuming my guy wanted more of a western style holster.

I just showed him the picture he's comment was "wow" I like that one it is like your holsters FYI I have a Mernickle cross draw and a matching shoulder rig for my 4.25" Ruger SRH that have similar thumb break releases and I like the price especially with an extra 20% off...

I'm heading out right now but will probably order one later when I get back home...

Might be worth calling or swinging by Wholesale sports as well. I've seen some decent Hunter brand western holsters their in the past for around $60-$70 dollars or so.
 
Finally made it to the range today with my guy... :)

I've spent the last few weeks teaching him safe handgun handling practices and finally felt that he was ready to give his Bearcat a try.

He had an absolute hoot shooting had a few issues with the 180 which I corrected immediately other than that he did far better than I ever dreamt he would, he even gave shooting one handed like a cowboy a try.

I am kicking my absentmindedness I forgot to take a camera so you have to picture a young man with his plastic holster, safety glasses, Peltor electronic earmuffs, cowboy shirt/hat/boots shooting his cowboy handgun classic is all I can say...

I was able to do a few quick accuracy tests to get an idea how it shoots @ 15 yards it groups appr 1 1/2" high and right groups were better than I was expecting averaging 1 1/2" with most ammo used what was a surprise were CCI CB Long's they seemed to print to point of aim but I only shot them at a piece of wood on the berm @ 20 yards definitely minute of grouse if we were allowed to carry these little guns in the bush...
