So somehow, no idea what happened, the rear sight on my 10/22 broke (blade cracked in half).

I'd like to put something better than stock on it as I found the sights a bit hard to see in poor lighting.

There appear to be about a thousand options for 10/22 sights. For general all around plinking what have you guys used and liked? Second, where did you buy them. I've dealt with HawkTech before, any other dealers worth trying?

Williams Sights

This is their firesight:

They also have a rear sight that is mounted on the receiver.

I will give you a free stock rear sight, if you can pickup. We stock the fire sites & were considering bringing in the 10/22 tech sites to go with our SKS tech sites we already stock. PM me.

I had the same happen to me, and I have also looked at the same sights. I have a post similar to this a page or two in the gunsmithing section.

Do your sights look something like this?

The tech sights are pretty cool. I always thought a 10-22 with tech sites and a garand stock would be pretty nice looking.

My 10/22 fell off of a shooting bench at a range in the winter (don't get me started on the long story though) and broke my front sight in half. I replaced it with tru-glow fiber optics (front and back) and have never looked back. I don't know where to buy them anymore though... was about 6 years ago and the place stopped carrying them since.

My sight broke almost identically to yours. I have no idea how since my kids only use the gun under my direct supervision and I'd know if it took a hit to that area. Oh well, it needs better sights anyways.

I will offer a free rear sight to anyone local who wants to pickup.
