I had a chance to get some better pics today of the new RFB in desert tan, and took the shots side be side with my original RFB. Only 28 were produced and I was lucky enough to get 2 of them, the other will stay in it's box and unfired for time being. As mentioned on previous posts, it comes with a Marpat soft case with the RFB-DS logo and Canadian flag and has a muzzle break. Nuff' said, here's some pics.

Lot of $$ for something that looks like humus.

Colour aside oh boy are these rifles nice, haven't shot one yet but nearly bought one the other day.

Enjoy them.

Looks awesome... What kind of flashlight mount is that and where to buy one?
Also.. Do you have any idea where I can buy the h/g lower rail??? Thanks.

The rail was from Kel-Tec and was $40. The flashlight mount was from badger ordinance and was $199 (reliable gun in Vancouver)

My $.02 worth:

It looks awesome, but the reatiler selling these as a "special edition Desert Storm RFB" is GHEY.

1) The RFB did not exist during Desert Storm. All 7.62 NATO guns in the field were either bolt actions or stock M14's in that timeframe.

2) Special Editions remind me of Franklin Mint collector plates.

Otherwise I like it in tan.

Once that colour gets dirty, it will have the same worn out look of old used office furniture! It is a practical colour but it will drive some of you "aesthetic" concerned gunnutz crazy in the long run once it gets handled alot.

Man, got to hold an RFB last week... I am truly impressed. Felt more solid than an AR and was really natural to hold, point and manipulate. Love them.
