Marlin 81DL scope ?.

Question to Marlin 81DL owners

Wondering if those small holes to mount the peep sight can also be attached to some sort of device to mount a scope ?.

The model 81 needs to be drilled and tapped for a scope. these guns are well worth while having a set of mounts put on and good rings. they shoot out to 200 yards like a hot d**m. I have two set up with scopes and have never been disappointed in thier performance. They are not a big collectors item but still worth while to use for target shooting if that is your bag.

Most gunsmiths drill and tap for $15-20 a hole...mounts can be extra $20-50 depending on name brand. Mine were done including mounts for $80 each.
