That is gorgeous. That has got to be the fanciest wood work I have seen on a rifle, not that I'm a expert. The way that the wood is shaped at the muzzle end
is pretty awesome. You'll attract a crowd at the range with that one. Congratulations.

I picked up a fairly similar Sako a short while ago, in 270.

I bought it as I was looking for something in a full length wood design and in addition, a friend and former workmate that owned it is no longer able to use it:(. Ideally, I would've liked to get it in a more European caliber, like 7x57 but that'll give me something to keep on the lookout for. Oh, here's my Brno combo gun, a ZH 304 in 7x57R/12ga. with an additional set of OU 12ga barrels.

I like your stock design better as it has that extra European look. Congrats on your acquisition:cool:, it looks good:).

I also should have purchased the 12ga/12ga barrels when I got my combo gun. I have more use for an O/U shotgun than a combo gun, but if it doesn't sell, I will order a new set of barrels and have a competent gunsmith fit them. Both are going to the range tomorrow and I will see how accurate they are at both 50m and 100m.
BTW, you seem to have a lot of nice toys. I can't imagine how big your gun locker is. :)

A number of years ago, on my way to the B.C. interior for a Moose hunt, I stopped in for a visit with my sister & brother in law. I did some shooting with him and we went for a drive in the afternoon. It was blowing a bit as a storm was coming in. I noticed my B.I.L. had this 'OU' but I never paid much attention to it as it wasn't an item I was interested in. Anyway, we spotted a 'ditch chicken' by the road and he got out to pot it. Right after he did, a short distance away a two by three Mulie broke out of the bush. He popped a 7x57R in and got that as well. My kinda' double!! Now I'm interested, and need one of those:p.

Around here on the island, walking river bottem areas and old logging skid roads the Brno combo is ideal. Especially when the weather is blowing a bit and possibly some 'west coast sunshine' is coming down and where you could run into a Deer or Ruff Grouse, it's a handy gun to be packing.

I've got a few 'toys', enjoy shooting & reloading for them and also like the flexibility of choice for different game and area conditions and needs as I see it. Down the road it may be time to start thinning 'things' out a little, ;)but not yet:p.

Its your story that convinced me to buy it... you posted the same story in another thread (?). I am certainly not desperate to sell it, and in fact I hope it doesn't sell, as it just means I'll loose money and end up buying another expensive tool. :p

And that 'double' on Deer and a Ruffs is one that has alluded my efforts so far but I'm still hoping to achieve it one day.
