I want to take the side scope mount off my CSA because i will never use it and it adds a good chunk of unneeded weight to my rifle ... well i tried to loosen the hex screws but no luck , so i thought they were locktighted so i used a microtorch to heat them up and still no luck ?? well i dont wana ruin the finish of my rifle using too much heat and i dont wana strip the screws.. I remember seeing a few pics on here of users with CSAs with the scope mounts removed, so i would like to know how they did it ? im hoping i dont have to drill out the screws ... I have no idea why they would put that bulky russian mount on a new 11 inch barrel rifle anyway? i heard you cant even use it anyway with the factory folding stock because the sling loop blocks scopes from being mounted ..

bump, having this same exact problem right now, one was super tight and i thought i broke my hex key off when it started unthreading, second one spun the hex before it started coming out, any advice on how to remove it now? considering just putting the first screw back in and saying screw it
