Looking for a book on AR Builds

When I jump into something, I research and learn all I can in order to become and effective and educated owner/operator.

There's an everything? Like most well designed pieces of equipment, the more I learn, the more I learn I need to learn.

kombayotch, have you looked at ZEDIKER's book as well by any chance? I've been wanting to order "The Complete Guide to AR-15 Accuracy" for a while now, but would like to know how much is non-overlap. My guess is that Zediker's is shooter's perspective, and "The Complete Guide to AR-15 Accuracy" is builders.

I haven't, but what I have been told is that Zediker's book is limited to off-the-shelf parts and a few hand tools... basically for someone wanting to put together an AR at home. "The Complete Guide to AR-15 Accuracy" is intended for a gunsmith or someone who has access to a mill and a lathe.

I would recommend "The AR-15 complete assembly guide" by Walt Kuleck and Clint McKee. It is well written by a couple of very knowledgeable guys that have built a "few" AR's. It has clear 'photos, a logical sequence, and lists comprehensive checks, tips, and safety information.

i just bought that on eBay fir 34.23$ shipped. Better be the best book i ever handled. Does the fact that its a 2002 make it outdated? Or its still in the ballpark since they didnt "re-invent" the AR ?

Seriously, you can get most info out on the Internet. Do a search you can find all the TM at download sites!!!

Black rifles 1and2 are good on the historical aspects.

Others......you will get the most current info on the Internet. By the time a book is published and out for a year or 2, it is already obsolete .
