Hey everyone! I have come here to work on gathering information and data on the Finnish P-series (P-25, P-26 and P-27) Mosin Nagant rifles. These rifles are relatively rare (8/10 on the 7.62x54R.net rarity scale) and I find them to be rather interesting, which is why I am taking the time to gather the data on them. I have pretty much exhausted what resources I have over here in the US and some in Finland and I want to go a little bit more global.

Essentially, I would like to continue in the lineage of this thread....

http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?1359-Finnish-P-Series-Rifles

Here is what I am looking for.

Model?
Serial?
S marked?
A/B/C marked?
D marked?
Anything special/interesting?

You can also post pictures if you want, that would be sweet!

Furthermore, if anyone has any good information on production dates, the dispute between Saloranta and Aimo Lahti concerning these rifles or any other anecdotes, please post them here!

Here is the data I have currently...

Here is a photo of my P-26 and P-27 rifles together.

Hey all! It has been a long time since I have been back here but I recently talked with a Canadian gun dealer/manufacturer and remembered my thread here. PerversPépère, where are your Mosin photos! :)

Bump for more information!

That is a BEAUTIFUL rifle! Thank you for sharing it with me! That makes number 173 for the data sheet!

P&S has a "C" barrel Finn M91 I think. Looks damn nice too!

Who is this P&S? Bring him to me! ;)

Keep 'em coming, boys!

More pics!

Hello!
Just had time to snap a few pics of my trio of P-26 and 27s this morning. Enjoy! :)

PerversPépère. thank you so much for those photos and the data!

As chance would have it, I had both 9401 and 14685 on my sheet already from "Old Fred" over on Gunboards but I had none of the markings.

Interestingly enough, your 9906 P-27 rifle is the oldest P-27 I have on record and it seems to fall into what I like to call a "transition" period, which is where the P-26 changed into the P-27. For your convenience, a screenshot of the spreadsheet.

On another note, you are quite the photographer and your photos really give these old warhorses justice. Thank you so much!
