22 Short

Good day everyone, I'm looking for any opinions on a bolt action repeater that will handle 22 shorts for pest control. I got a bunch of CB shorts to use as to not upset the folks next to me. I don't know who would make a dedicated rifle in 22 short? Any thoughts?

I have a "few" older mossbergs that shoot shorts just fine, a raccoon took a short in the ass last week courtesy of my model 44 I dedicated that gun with the 24 inch barrel strictly for .22 cb shorts.

Marlin 817 bolt action tube feed 25 shorts a blast to shoot and very reliable, smooth action using CCI cb short 29 gr it have such a low report no more than a pellet gun and up to 40 metres extremely accurate and potent... JP.

Browning also made their Auto in 22 short

I thought everyone in Canada had a tube fed bolt action cooey model 60 in the back of the safe somewhere... holds... ~22 if I can remember and works great for pests

The bolt action Marlin 81DL that was my Dad's has a tube magazine and will hold almost half a box of shorts. He used to use it for shooting rats on the farm as well as small game.

Get the Henry Mare's Leg rimfire. Super compact plus it takes quite a few .22 shorts in the tube.

so, obviously not accurate enough for hunting.

My cooey model 60 will shot shorts. Try some subsonics they are whisper quiet in that gun as well

For pest control I use cb longs. The hammer hitting the pin is louder then the report. Kills great.
