UPDATE: Rossi Ranch Hand Mares Leg

for anyone reading this , for a non semiauto rifle ( ie bolt action / pump / lever ) is it 18 , or 18.5 inches the shortest a " regular "person can trim their barrels back to ?
18 technically, but nobody would do that. what if after the cut you were a teeny tiny bit short? Or needed to recrown later? Most smiths will cut it more like 18.5 to be safe.

lol I love how giddy everyone is to get this rifle here!

I check my email every day (and cgn) with excitement daily! the suspense is unbearable!

Just heard we are held up in customs...a customs officer has puffed his chest and deemed these little babies as prohibited in Canada. My distributor is working on hard on resolving this matter. Will keep you posted when i hear something.

Thanks for the update Gary! I guess even Customs can't understand the stupidity that is our gun laws! Hopefully he can access the right information in a timely manor.....and then write an internal memo!

Prohib eh? That's one I hadn't seen.. restricted maybe.... I like how none of our government officials that deal with firearms have a ghost of a clue about gun laws.

I guess he could be just covering his butt, still though, why not just say it's being held for inspection?

No kidding...it will happen somewhere!

This may be a bit off topic but.. What would be a Ranch Hand owner's course of action if a more stubborn LEO were to make the same claim? I know from experience that simply showing your registration certificate doesn't cut it with some.

I'm all for being polite but I get the feeling this gun, in particular, may get more attention than most.
