The Vintage Rifle / Sporting Rifle (AKA "Bring What Ya Got Shoot" is a deliberate, snap and moving target shoot at 100, 200 and 300 yards.

Lots of prizes and everyone has a good time. Bring 125 rounds of ammo. You can shoot more than rifle. I will be shooting a 7.62x39 at 100 and a 308 at 200 and 300.

Amiens range at 8:00am to set up and sign in. We should be done by 3:00.

After the shoot we may stay at 300 and do some extra shooting.

Bring water. It will be hot.

PM me for details.

I'm gonna cheat this time. Almost everybody used scoped rifles last time. I still held my own with the Garand, but I think I am going to break out the Swiss Arms. :D

Also, does anyone have a spare AR magazine they would be willing to lend for the day? I have a Colt with A1 sights and triangular handguards but only 1 magazine. I have more incoming but I am doubtful they will be here for Sunday.

"Is this a competition of some kind or fun shoot? "

We shoot 3 10 shot matches at each distance. lots of practice shots first. We keep score.

Most go home with a prize. All fave fun.

A fun competition.

Bring anygun you want - so long as you did not have to tow it....

Last shoot, I was a newbie ...at the shoot as well as the gun....had a great time but that #4 is heavy to hold during the standing shots. Thanks ganderite...it WILL happen again.

A tip for newbies and reminder for the rest of us. If you aren't shooting with a scope, bring some kind of optic to see the target markers after you shoot. Really helpful for the sight in at the start of each match and to see your groups afterward.

Doesn't really matter what it is, spotting scope, binoculars, spare rifle scope. They all work.
