how many .22's do you own? And why? (hunting/Collecting etc..)

Sold all my other .22s quite recently, some of which I had owned since high school in the 60s, when I got my second (sold the first one in the 70s) Ruger 10/22. It's bedded, has had the trigger smoothed, has the buffer installed, and has a good quality scope. It will shoot 1/2" at 50 yards and 1" at 100 yards all day long. I simply don't see the need to own any other .22. Well, except for maybe a second Ruger...

Sounds like a keeper! Stock barrel? What kind of ammo?

epoxy, how does your tc r 55 shoot? My boys each have one, and they are both spooky accurate for a low/mid priced 22, using elex red box

Yup it shoots very well. With CCI standard and no wind it shoots 5 round groups at just below 1 moa. 50 yards is a ragged hole.

Lineofsight has one as well and his shoots the same. We set up those little metal 22 swinging targets at 100 yards and it's almost boring. That and shotgun husks are easy prey at 100 yards providing there's very little wind.

I'll have to give some eley red box a try.

Does it do the dishes? :)

hahaha, No thats the rob arms XCR's job, cuz for the $ it's gotta justify it's place in the gun safe.

Myyellow jacket is accurate enough to play with the lower end bolt actions, semi-reliable enough to romp with my buddies 10/22s, comfortable enough to play in the PD towns, ugly; sorry, "unique" enough to draw a "what the hell is that?", and easy enough to get naked without springs embedding themselves into my eyes.
hahaha

FN98 Mauser converted to heavy barrel target .22 single shot by Israel military.
Husqvarna single shot
Husqvarna bolt repeater
Vostok bolt repeater

In no particular order...

10/22
2 x Marlin 795
Papoose
Badger
CIL/Anschutz 125
Henry Mare's Leg
Cooey 600
CZ 452 Lux
Norinco JW-15a Backpacker
GSG 1911-22
High Standard "The Marshal"

Probably forgetting something or two.

Why?

Reasons...

I have 3 Cooey rifles passed down by grandpa that will stay in the family, a chopped Cooey 64 so the little ones can easily shoot a semi, a rascal so the little ones can learn on a firearm and a Ruger MK II for pistol shooting. I’ll never sell any of these!

I have several of them and find rimfires are my favorite type of rifle to shoot. Probably due to low cost of purchasing, low recoil, low cost of ammo. Dont think i would call myself a collector as i go out and shoot them all as much as possible. I buy everything used so get a deal at the start, so they are all money in the bank.

1 - Marlin 39 M Far and away my favorite, makes me feel like a kid shooting it and I shoot it well with the iron sights.
2 - Savage Mark II, a G model with tech sights plus an F model with big glass and bi-pod. Considering selling the G model, I dont seem to shoot it too well.
3 - Ruger 10/22 in various configurations, an international model, BC folder, and a compact youth model.
1 - Savage Rascal for the boys when they are ready.....both are still quite young.
1 - Ruger 22/45 cause everyone needs a decent rimfire pistol.

Not really looking for any others but will jump at a good deal on another marlin 39!
