tell me about the BRS-99

my guess, the price movement is probably due to currency exchange , polish zloty was weak several years ago and then it got stronger and it peaked in the first quarter 2008 till the recession hit and then it nose dive again in comparison to our strong C$.

im happy paying $1700.
 
I think it was 2002 as the carbines were both dated 2001. The second batch that came in were 1695.00 and the third batch was around the 1850 mark and were black, instead of grey.

Wish they had this model back in the day, I had to make mine "Tactical" the old fashioned way... Shot damn good with the 10.5" extended barrel and the Ruko 3-9x40 scope.

A quick question... Will these be sold with an 18.5 inch barrel AND the shorter barrel?

My interest is peaked, BUT, I wouldn't be interested if I had to run around trying to have someone make the 18.5 inch barrel OR waiting till someone got around to do it... IMHO, they'd sell like hotcakes WITH the 18.5 inch barrel included with the shorter barrel...

I was able to order another receiver cover from Wolverine's remaining stock of bits. I'll probably install a long rail like the one on yours to give me some other sighting options.

The TI post shows a model closer to PM-06 spec with the straight buttstock and hitherto "optionally available" vertical grip. I think that the straight stock design is optimized for FA use with the S/F version rather than being required strictly for use with an optic. The angled stock affords access to an optic with little shifting from the iron sights, IMO.

I fell for these firearms via a buddy who owns one of the earlier Wolverine models. His is parkerised with open front sight ears and no rail. Firing via hammer and closed bolt this thing delivers rifle like accuracy at 50 m and what I would consider excellent accuracy for 9mm at 75-100m. Very pleasant to fire with no reliability issues.

I expect the present model will equal or exceed (with optics) the performance of the early ones for some $400.00 cheaper to boot. I plan on putting my Sparc or a TRS-25 on it.

Hats off to TI and Lanz for getting these items to market.

Yes our first shipment came with the picatinny rail, standard flashlight foregrip and angled buttstock. These were supplied to dealers like Lanz and Ellwood Epps until we got our second shipment (folding foregrip, straight telescoping stock, picatinny rail); which we premiered on CGN

Supplying the BRS-99 Tactical with x2 barrels would jack up the cost; our plan is the have the non-restricted barrels as an option to interested parties. We are looking to have them produced by the factory. If not than we'd have to go to a gunsmith.

If someone only has their non-restricted license we could swap out the barrel and change the status and do the transfer. Keep the short bbl until they get their restricted obviously.

so what about the buyers who buys them now as restricted and then buys the non-res barrel later, can we switch the class to non-restricted ?

I don't see why that couldn't be done; the whole idea behind the non-restricted bbl is having a non-restricted brs-99 :rockOn:

I'll be watching the updates on this firearm, hoping to see the non-restricted length barrel available. Non-restricted would be AWESOME!!!

When making a modification to a firearm that would change the classification, you have 30 days to report the change to the CFC.
 
If non-restricted barrels become available I will definetely pick one up. The long barrel may look a bit goofy at first but being non-restricted would make it worthwhile to me.
 
Let say I have a restricted barrel and I change to the non-res, and get it reclassified. Can I switch back to restricted without going through cfc every time?
