10/22 ruger scopebase added to receiver

Hi there

im deathly worried about my new 10/20 ruger would be unsafe to target practice with, when i added the scope mount to fill in the front and back receiver holes but the other ones i forgot to fill in with the filler screws when i left home for 3 months to visit parents.

sicne im going to go plinking tomorrow and just not sure if it wise to do it at all or just get the receiver holes that are not filled to be in for safely reasons sicne afride that the firearm will malfuction or worse to say?

any help would be greatly aprecated!

You have nothing to worry about here. The filler screws do not contribute to structural strength or safety. Fire away, and have fun.

dont worry. i fired close to 150 rounds through mine without the filler screws in the holes. im not worried in the least. no reason to be.

thanks you for the help was to go yesterday but never when so a bit sadden was so interusted in paracticing.
