Silverbane - I'm a big fan of the Knoxx - great for absorbing the extra kick from the shorter barrelled shotguns and the adjustable length of pull lets my smaller wife use it comfortably as well. If you have big hands, the Knoxx rubber grip is a great investment, too.

I picked this one up used last week. 2 3/4" Wingmaster with a 20" rifle sight barrel (front sight is broken off). The seller said it was Duracoated in the ad, but it wore off the mag tube after about 10 rounds and it can be scraped off the receiver with your fingernail. I added a Hogue rear stock, Vang Comp Safety, NEA follower and a Wolff magazine spring. Also had to add a magazine spring retaining cap because it was missing. After about 4 hours of cleaning it was ready to shoot. Hopefully I can get all of the pitting polished out of the barrel. You win some, you lose some.

Rails, black and grey, speedfeed, angled foregrip, sidesaddle, fiber optic bead, holosight...I'd say so. That barrel's a bit long though, rein it in - probably not loud enough

What do you mean by holding up? Wearing out a smoothbore takes quite some dedication.

Eh, my rem870 wears a 14" HP9 barrel and it holds up just fine.

Fit and finish of the new norcs is on par with any remington express.

I just bought a new 870 tactical shotty today.
Installed a limbsaver recoil pad, tri-rail clamp, flashlight, two detachable 7round shell holders, and an S&J no jam follower. I found that with the no jam follower I am unable to get the 6th 3" shell in the mag tube.
