Computer on a Beretta shotgun?

I don't really understand the point. Why would you want your gun to count the shots you fire? I usually know exactly how many shots I fire...

Is it for resale? Like an odometer on a car?

Beretta seems to be relying on gimmicks to sell Shotguns. The UGB25 is another example a gun that first listed for around $4200 now they can't give them away for $2500. People want quality firearms for their hard earned dollars. Not gimmicks.

now now, its worked for mossbergs tactical line for a couple years now.....

but what the heck does test of ammunition fired mean?
also, why do I need to know the temperature?
i'm not going to walk outside with the gun, say, huh the thermometer on my gun says its -30, blowing snow, i'm not going to shoot today its kinda cold.
