You have some great momentos from your grandfather. I wonder if you have any letters that he may have written home from the trenches. If so, there is a place where you can share that stuff. It is called the Canadian Letters and Images project.

Thanks for previous post by RRCo. It reminded me that my wife and I found her grandfather's attestation papers on the same website a few years back. He came home, luckily. We found a few letters on the Canadian Letters and Images project site where he was mentioned by other soldiers in their letters home. It was really heart wrenching to read through all the letters that family had provided to this website.
We shall remember them.
