Noveske AR's

I like mine, much more accurate than me. Fit and finish is spotless. Comes with premium parts (VLTOR, Troy, BCM etc...) Trigger is better than most milspec triggers out there but it's nothing like any aftermarket trigger kit. The stainless steel barrel is what makes a Noveske a Noveske.

Love mine, fit and finnish is top notch. More accurate than I am and I consider myself a decent shooter. The barrel is what makes a Noveske a Noveske like Antione22 said. They use top shelf parts on it. Its something that is a bit rare up in Canada so that adds something to it as well.

I put my Colt LE6920 a close 2nd

I like Noveske N4 barrels and their BGC. The N4 barrel is the only reason I purchase noveske.

I have my suspicion about the hardness of the anodization on their "regular receivers" (not the Vltor ones). I have gone through 3 of them and I am not impressed by the hardness. On the other hand, their receiver extension threads timing are more accurate with KAC URX than KAC factory SR15 receiver. I have installed 3 URXs on noveske upper and none of them have any gaps.

Love em. I have owned almost every barrel length, and they all shoot outstanding. Get the stainless steel barrel, for sure. Also, everyone always wants the VIS upper, and I've owned a few, but I like the normal Noveske/SWS rail with MUR1A combo better now. Well machined, thinner profile, and it comes with the QD mount built in.

Are they worth it

Hey medic, tips & proenneke (love the name by the way) I've got a couple questions for you
Is a SS is more accurate than a CL? How long will it last compared to a CL? I'm getting 1moa with My LMT & 1.5 with my stag(on good days) For shooting paper that's good enough for me. I've always wanted a noveske but won't pay 3g's on ar15, mind you I have alot more invested over time with my others, so honest question here, will I be blown away with a noveske?
Cheers
Patrick

There are two many variables on "how long will it last" like rate of fire. Generally CL barrels tend to last a little longer that SS barrels. That being said Noveske uses a special SS that is much harder than normal SS so it typically lasts around a normal CL barrel. Correct me if I am wrong. Now the N4 CL barrels use M249 Machine Gun Steel which is really durable especially since you will only firing in semi. Hope this helps.

I love my Noveske Afghan upper, which also has the VLTOR MUR. Have had no issues, and it shoots like a champ.

Best grouping out of it was .61" at 100m, measuring 4 rounds and discounting my one called flyer. This was shooting with 69gr BTHP hand loads, however.

I do not think it is about the "lasting" in the long run - I believe the reason SS is not used in MG because at high rate of fire SS barrel will fail (like bursting!) earlier than CMV steel.

A sub MOA SS barrel that wears out to 1.5MOA is still as accurate as a CL barrel that starts out at 1.5MOA brand new.

Running a 16" SS Noveske Recon here, and I love it.

Super accurate, super reliable, and just feels like a really well put together bit of kit.

When I benched my 18" SS I was able to get 1/2" to 3/4" groups, faily easily with a 10X scope and 69 gr FGMM. I'd say the Noveske SS barrels are 1/2" to 1" guns. Many people claim the short barrels(i.e. 10.5" to 14.5") are sub-moa barrels. I've never really benched my short barrels, but I'm getting 1", to 2" groups at 100 yds with a Crusader barrel with my Aimpoint T1, which is a 4 MOA dot. I know it would tighten up if I put a scope on it. With a Noveske, the barrel is really what its all about, although Noveske only uses the highest quality Mil-Spec parts, put together properly. Fit and finish is great. I've owned all types of AR'S (Noveske, LMT, Armalite) and been issued, Diemaco's and Colt Canada C8's, and I like my Noveske's best (Disclamer: Never owned/handled/fired a KAC). Noveske is also a small company, run by John Noveske. He is a fanatical about his guns and I love his personal philosophies.

I have 2. One is a 14 inch Afghan and one is a 7 inch Diplomat. Not many rounds though either yet, but they seem to be a very solid well built gun. Will have to report back once I do some serious accuracy work with them.
