So another member on here (blargon) and myself did some range shooting the other day and I have to admit I have taken a liking to Matrix bullets. Marshal Ambrose is an excellent guy and I highly recommend him.
When I first started loading the 125 grainers I was a little disappointed in the over all performance of my initial loads. After tweaking the seating depth and powder charge I was able to place 5 consecutive shots into an inch or better @ 100yds. We could have spent the entire day ringing the 12" gong @ 300 hundred but it was getting too hot and not enough loaded ammo
.
I settled on 57gr of Retumbo, Winchester brass and WLR primers. This load runs at 2930 ft/s.
I was wondering if I could get a rough idea regarding bullet trajectory considering I know it has a calculated BC of .4546. Just for sh$@s and giggles.
I will try to get some pics up after our next outing. Here is a pic of the rifle that was posted previoulsy in the hunting and sporting arms forum. I will be using this combo in the fall during the moose hunt.
