Was just wondering how well P-mags run on the norinco platform. I drank the coolaid recently and am now looking at a way to feed the girl. Also where's the cheapest place to purchase them from? I've seen the questar pack of 6 package deal, but my norc came today and arrived ahead of my reg cert and to buy them from questar you need to have your reg cert and ATT# so I'm hooped for now.

Not at all true... all you need is your PAL info (so we can verify that you're a license firearms owner). The ATT, gun club info is only required if you're buying a firearm (so that we can do the transfers)... if you're not buying a firearm then just enter n/a in those boxes.

Registration Cert # is not asked for or required... sorry if you thought otherwise.

They run fine in Norcs but having some issues with pmags all together now. If you seat them too hard you end up shaving the notch down and then they feed too deep everytime and won't allow the bolt to go forward

he only issue you "might" have with the Pmags from Questar is the rivet hanging on your mag well which will cause them to not drop free.

I believe Questar has changed how thy pin the mags so the rivet sits flush. Regardless, it only takes a few swipes of a file to fix the problem.

Other than that I have had no issues with Pmags and Questar has the best price.

They are a Quality dealer IMO (as I sit here waiting for my latest order to arrive :))

You will also find that they are very good at answering questions via email or phone. If you are ever wondering about something, just ask.

When you have girly arms like me, seating them to hard is not a problem :)

More seriously I was at the match when you noticed the problem, did it happen to many of your mags or just the one?

Do you think you will have to switch to metal mags?

Quite some time ago we changed the way our US office does the mag pinning for the PMAG's.

We had a fixture built to insure that the placement of the rivet was consistant and allowed for a bit of "give" so the charged magazine would insert on a closed bolt. The fixture also countersinks the rivet. In addition, we acquired a supply of counter-sunk rivets.

The end result is a magazine that is pinned consistantly and a rivet that is flush with the mag body so it won't interfere with a properly "cut", properly dimensioned magwell... it will drop free, etc..

All my P-Mags run great and drop free in my Norc M4gery; and yes, they were all purchased from Questar

I run a Stag and 5 of Questar's PMags, purchased this spring.

I'm 6'+, 300 lbs, and like to slam my mags in as hard as I can, and have also used my right knee in situation-drills to bump my Pmags into the well (a situation quite unlike Bolivar's self-described 'girly arms'); I've had no failures of any kind.

Get the Pmags. Buy in bulk. Questar is solid.
