7.62x39mm Bolt Actions?

I had wanted a norc bush ranger, but the quality(if that's the word), lack of bullets for handloading, and dwindling supplies of surplus ammo made me hesitate.
I just got a savage 340 in .30-30 on the EE, arrived today.
.308 bullets, readily available brass, more power if I want it(planning on running 130 gr soft points for the wife as a deer gun)
If the norc was readily available for the price of an SKS or less(I have an sks) then it would be worth it. But it isnt, and it's not.

OP, if it has to be a bolt, spend the few extra $$ and go with the Savage or the CZ. Stay away from the JW unless you're looking for something to abuse. My Baikal IZH is getting better every trip out.

Aye its between the Savage and the CZ, i had a brief convo last night with a member abou the Norinco and its off the table.

With the CZ getting an aftermarket peep sight...that pretty much sells it for me.

The Sabatti Rover 600 is a very nice rifle chambered in 7.62X39, with a detach mag. Tradex, and Frontier Firearms sells Sabatti rifles.

I am in the same place. I have a SKS and a crapload of surplus 7.62x39, but also wanted to try out the same round in bolt action for variation. I am not a precision shooter or anything but would like to stretch my ammo in multiple platforms.
