Perhaps if this was imported without the buttstock (available separately) maybe the RCMP would classify it as a handgun? The benefit being use of 10 round mags.

And the TEC9 or intratec 9 was a listed by name prohib , this doesnt have any interchangeable parts or even resemble a tec 9 by any means so that statement holds no merit ..

Or else they would have considered the 858 a variant of the AK and been done with it.
